WM Message

Brethren,

We of Kingsley Day Lodge are very proud to announce that a foundation member in the person of W.B. Basil Best P.J.G.D. was a recipient of Australia Day Honors in receiving an Order of Australia Medal.
Basil we shall bow on bended knee, W.B. Basil Best PJGD, OAM. Truly a well deserved Honour.

I exhort all Brethren to support fully our Social Activities, remember that the outings and functions are for your benefit

Notes:
Brethren, it is one thing to attend our lodge meetings but, it is another to ask ourselves,

"What is it that we can do to improve performance, make lodge attendance a fulfilling and rewarding experience and also increase our membership?"

There are several Brethren of our lodge who regularly visit other Day & Evening  Lodges to keep the contact going.  This is where we get our visitor's from on a regular basis.

The friendships and help given by our visiting Brethren of other "Day Lodges" is invaluable and has established a raft of assisting elements in return by those other lodges.

Our life and existence as a "Day Lodge" also depends on the view that our evening lodge ageing Brethren have of us.

We of the day lodges have to visit the evening lodges so that the Brethren can see who we are and more particularly begin to learn that, it might be good for their own more mature brethren to consider joining us during the day rather than going out at night.

There is no doubt that there must be a lot of them who do not turn out to their evening lodge simply because they are no longer able to drive at night but, can do so during the day or be picked up if no longer able to drive at all!

Brethren please think about getting out to an evening lodge to fly our flag!!

Charity and Benevolence

We also need your support for the various charity and benevolent activities of  the M.W.G.M. and our own lodge in particular. We have donated to "The Wheel Chairs for Kids" of late and would be a good continuous program of substance for our Charity Steward.

The Grand Lodge in the Heavens has called the
following Brethren of our lodge for Dedicated Service.

It is with sincere sadness that Kingsley Day Lodge notes the passing of V.W.Bro Gordon Russell Shearwood to the Grand Lodge above.

Our sympathy is extended to Gordon's Wife Olga and Family.

A very moving ceremony to celebrate the life of our esteemed Brother was held at the Uniting Church Joondana on Friday 4th March 2016 @ 14.00 hrs and amongst the somewhat large crowd there were quite a number of representatives from other lodges as well as the representatives of Kingsley 357 with our WM. Neil Marshall.

Other details are available on www.masonicdiary.com.au/lodges , such as a "Google Map" which does not quite show the correct pointer address.
In the event that more precise detail is required for driving to the location, on the pointer click on "Search nearby" the address "3a. Moolanda Boulevard Kingsley" should then be keyed in.

The result should show two flags, select "D" and zoom and the driveway into the complex is clearly displayed.
